"Respected conservatives" now there's an oxymoron!
But, it is strange to consider that no one refused the money they made during the Clinton years. And of course, no one, especially the media, is reminding Lott and that ilk of the quotes they gave when Clinton wanted to take action against terrorism, or work on the Aviation Safety report, or any number of other things -- the very patriotic GOP did all they could to prevent any action at all. I would take all those quotes and while they are on TV, I would play them back (over and over) giving them a chance to justify what they did and said.
You can bet if the economy had continued to be great, the GOP would be taking credit for every dime!
They are truly stupid if they think anyone believes them!
